Isn't it interesting that if you make an intelligent, fact filled, comment on Newsvine, but it isn't for Obama or against McCain, that all of a sudden you get "Sorry about that", the page is not there anymore???????

I appreciate your message to me. I am in relation to your mother. While I don't know her, I am aware of how many women there are 'like' her, and at the same time aware she was in her own right unique. She has, by my reading you only, raised a good person. I encourage you to show others what you revealed to me. i have struggled many times with knee jerk reactions to your shock statements, but inside them saw something that made me keep looking. As you my recall I suffer the same shock tool in my repertoire, and find it sometimes gets me where I am trying to go, but more often then not...just alienates me from someone who might have 'something' for me that I can only sense because of the shock.......it that makes sense.
Again, thank you....it is a really angry place out here especially for someone who continues to 'need' help, even after fighting my way back to college, graduating in 06...just in time for thousands of layoffs...go figure.:)
We just never know, when we are talking, who we are hitting up the proverbial side of the head, do we.....I am positive I have done it.
have a good night.

The NY Times is not perfect but in its long storied history the number of factual mistakes they have made are few.
I always find it interesting that when the people read or hear facts that run contrary to their opinions or beliefs, they attack the source -- or as they say shoot the messenger.
I had an Uncle who believed Richard Nixon to be totally innocent of any misdeeds even after Nixon resigned and admitted mistakes.
Do I believe everything I read in the newspapers, NO. Am I in denial of facts when validated NO.
J Patrick Monyihan said - Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.
If someone has a particular political bias they are entitled to that, but if they claim to be objective and ignore facts that is unrealistic.
Senator McCain lost my vote and governing respect by selecting a VP whose only qualification is her appeal to women voters. She is far from the best qualified and if she was on a Republican Primary Ballot she would draw fewer votes than Ron Paul, much less the Huckabee, Romnney, etc.
My wife is better qualified than Palin, and the fact that she was Governor of Alaska means nothing.
